Carlos & Tootie invited to Eukanuba Show in Long B Ch. Evolution's High Roller and Ch. Evolution's Luck Be A Lady get the special invitaion to the Eukanuba Challenge in Long Beach, CA! We started the weekend off by looking at all the wonderful booths and bought a few of our favorite doggie related gems! We spent the afternoon on Saturday taking part in "Meet the Breeds" where we were given the opportunity to meet some of our favorite dogs and learn more about them. Very entertaining!
We toted both Carlos and Vegas around the whole time and every one enjoyed petting them and asking many questions about them. They had more attention then they knew what to do with. They are having "After Show" withdrawls. They were celebrities for a couple of days! Speaking of doggie celebrities, we also had our pictures taken with the 2006 Westminister Best In Show winner, Rufus! (He wasn't at all stuffy either). He looked at "mini-me" Carlos, like "What...he looks like me?" (they are both red smut).
The national show began on Sunday morning for the Miniature Bull Terriers and there were 18 fine looking mini's in attendance--all American bred too! This was more than we have ever seen in one sitting! It was realy cool to see all the different styles and colors.
Carlos showed well and stood still for the judge to evaluate him. He strutted his stuff and had a great time! He may not have won but he is a winner to us! (He really doesn't know the difference anyway). He had a good attitude and kept his spirits up the whole time--and as you know, bullies can get a little distracted. His sister Tootie also showed well and is a natural show girl. Her "mom" Jessica expertly handled her and was a good sport about the whole day. Congratulations to Giselle Simonds and her dog, Bonsai Skip To My Alou (Skip).
